Infinite Deity regards the species Homo sapiens as neither superior nor inferior to anything within the Infinite Universe—merely a marvelous part of it. Infinite Deity is an ethically biocentric, non-anthropocentric, non-geocentric ethos. In many ways Infinite Deity reflects the outlook of a man who not only inspired me by his example without ever trying—he also inspired all who were fortunate in knowing him. Of course, he wouldn't have called his philosophy anything—or even considered it as a 'philosophy' at all. In fact, he certainly would never have recognised the superb simplicity of his ethos. He was just living his life. That man was my father and best friend.
Infinite Deity doesn't place any particular importance upon the ambiguous 'god' word, since the concept of an omnipotent entity is a product of primitive human superstition—man made god in his own image—and there have been thousands of them. Infinite Deity affords the unfathomable Infinite Universe ultimate veneration while acknowledging that the profound is all around. It is important to add that this is certainly not an interactive process—Infinite Deity is reflection without genuflection. Infinite Deity considers all that is perceived to exist within the Infinite Universe as having equal standing. "Regard yourself as neither superior nor inferior to anything within the Infinite Universe—merely a part of it" [10:2].
As we enter the third century beyond the Age of Enlightenment we remain surrounded by human-concocted, manipulative dogma, terrifying tenets and archaic, anachronistic, irrelevant, contradictory, divisive doctrine containing alternating threats and bribes of eternal torture and titillation. This isn't the way to evoke genuine decency in our species—how could it be? "Using violence or the threat of violence in order to influence the thoughts and actions of others"—nothing less than terrorism. Infinite Deity offers: "Acknowledge that without exception, every word of every text that exists, has existed or will exist is the product of Human thought" [10:6].
